Anne Gardom - Paintings, Drawings and CardsOver the last 82 years, (more than fifty of which living in Greenwich and Lewisham), Anne has held a myriad of roles, all requiring equal amounts of creativity and organisation. First as an administrator for the foreign office in Vienna, leading on to life as a mother and clergyman’s wife in a busy Lewisham parish bringing up five boys, followed by a degree in fine art at Camberwell college in her fifties, alongside the setting up and running of a highly successful curtain business with clients across Europe and the USA.
Retiring from work as an international business woman, she turned her full attention to her life-long passions of drawing, painting and sewing, attending life drawing classes at the Art House in Deptford and trips on painting holidays in France, as well as many pleasant hours drawing the trees and vistas of Greenwich Park. She held her first solo painting exhibition at a gallery in Cambridge last September. |
