Alison Day a practicing artist producing Analogue Black and White Photographs , Botanical Drawings, and Watercolours. Her photographic work reflects an interest in the landscape :- natural, social and political . Alison's work documents her experience of ‘her being in’ and ‘reaction to’ the landscape .
Alison's botanical work reflects a knowledge and love for wild and cultivated plants. It examines the work in detail in order to represent the plant as it is and experienced. Photographs are the document of 30 years of looking and searching the coasts in Northumberland and the political upheaval in London, as well as developing a unique mixture of botanical Photograms which are hand coloured She works to commission and exhibit regularly. as well as teaching photography and botanical illustration in her studio. |
